I replaced a microwave with this one and was immediately aware of how quiet it is. My old one had an annoying alarm that I hated, but this one is gentle and goes off when I open the door. I like the preset timing options right inside the door. I also like being able to run the microwave while its timer is running, something I couldn't do in my old one. One thing I would have preferred would be the ability to off the turntable, but My hubby chose this model without that. I'm very happy with it overall!

Microwave works fine. My issues with the blower and vent portion. It doesn't work and is non existent. There is no fan underneath for suction and ventilation, only a roller blower at the top blowing useless uncirculated unfiltered air up mimicking the effects of a circulating exhaust system. And also there's a aluminum grease trap at the bottom to further the charade. There is absolutely no suction/circulation/ventilation/filtration going on with this setup. Just roller blowers blowing. Please respond back if you have any answers as to why this is or if I am completely misunderstanding how Themis system is supposed to work. And no it is not "supposed to be duct ventilated to the outside and all I have to do is reposition the blowers. Already checked lol. But again, microwave works fine just curious about blower vent function

When my 13-year-old Maytag 'wave died, this one was recommended by customer service as a straight-in replacement. And it is, although ever-so-slightly larger in capacity, brighter lighting, quieter running. It is definitely bulkier, but still fit in the same opening. I miss the old unit's exhaust system, on the front, back into the room, instead of on the top straight up the cabinets, but otherwise it's been an easy transition and works well. I had no idea how addicted I'd become to using the microwave until I went 10 days without one! Glad to have this one; hope the door-latch problem noted by reviewers of the Maytag version does not affect this unit. Slowly going Whirlpool -- got a Whirlpool French-door fridge earlier this year when my 2-year-old LG crashed and burned. Happy so far -- mindful of the potential latch issue on these products; ask me again in two years.

The builder of my new home has had my microwave replaced three times. The door and control assembly have also been replaced. All to no avail! At multiple times per day, the micro won't start- it indicates 'door'. I open and close the door. Then it starts. All three microwaves had this problem. Most annoying!!!
I'd like a factory technician, who may understand this problem, contact me since the local Santa Fe techs haven't been able to resolve the issue. Video added.

I replaced an old beige plastic Whirlpool microwave that came with my house. I believe it lasted 35 years! That's quality. I bought it from a local appliance stores' website; the only surprising thing is how shiny it is (I would've preferred a matte finish).

This is my 2nd one. First lasted 5 years, which is not long considering the price. The over the range isn't a good idea because you really need to take it apart every 6 months to clean grease and grime that gets sucked into the inside of the microwave from cooking.

The microwave works well but disappointed there was no instruction manual (other than a couple of pages with little information). The installer explained about changing the filters but there no information at all included with the microwave. The interior and stove lights are poor and the hood ventilation system is very inefficient. This unit does not hold a candle to our 18 year old Whirlpool microwave.

We bought this to replace the one we bought in 2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. We had to stay with the same size, and the vent opening had to be cut a little bigger. I love the look and it was quite funny watching my family look for the "start" button. There is a chart on the inside for all the different features and I actually used the soften/melt feature to make a cream cheese desert. Hopefully this one will last us another 11 years!

Just bought the microwave last week, unable to give review, but seems to work good.
Installed by a recommended vendure thru Home Depot. Very,very poor work done to install the item. They damaged the sheet wall and back wall. Very disappointed with them. Never again.
